More TTRPGs should embrace rolling a bunch of random dice together. Instead of a D20, it ought to be a 2D8s and a Coinflip. or a D6 and D12. Shake things up, make it feel tactile over tactical.
unironically yeah, basically all TTRPGs are copying what works from other games the creator is familiar with and keeping things sensible and safe instead of making absolute jank & experimenting
