i would rather know a music person than have an algo recommend me songs. i am a better video games source than steam will ever be. i have faith in people and none in code.
this is very true (shout out to all my various ____ people), but has an added bonus: if an algorithm recommends something I don't like, I've wasted my time; If a friend recommends something I don't like it's still a chance to get to know a friend better and still a chance for a real and interesting conversation
