Here's the more abstract backgrounds I ended up making, these don't represent any physical area, rather they only represent cyberspace, somewhere that most of the characters cannot naturally access but is very important for those that can.
As these "areas" are very different from the rest of the backgrounds I gave them a very different color scheme that still fits into the rest of the game!
