websites used to have cool animations and all this fancy stuff made in flash, but flash's dead now, and it would be also hard to archive a whole website made in flash. it's still possible to make cool looking websites using css or javascript or three.js, or construct2, but i'm sure like a flash website, people have to code their best to get it working.
