websites used to have cool animations and all this fancy stuff made in flash, but flash's dead now, and it would be also hard to archive a whole website made in flash. it's still possible to make cool looking websites using css or javascript or three.js, or construct2, but i'm sure like a flash website, people have to code their best to get it working.
- i miss like, forums as part of a greater interaction with a materiel. everyone directs you to discord now, and it moves too fast for me. i like when i can check a thing maybe once or twice a day. i don't necessarily want to be friends with and have a real time conversation with every person who happens to like a thing i like.
- i miss when websites had little games on them to amuse kids. like good, proper games. hot wheels had a whole online multiplayer online racer game with persistent accounts and stuff! that ruled. apps are way less fun.
- i miss distinct pages. everything has endless scroll or fancy widgets that make them flow together in a way that feels like it's a wrapper trying to run a tiny program in my browser...
