As a dev who's worked in a few startups I see their hosting costs and go "That's a bit high ain't it?" then the contractor side of.my brain kicks in and goes "Yeah but, most of their costs are payroll at the moment. It'd likely cost them about the same to hire another person to not only bring the costs down but also manage the new infrastructure. It might be worth it down the line if there's more users but probably not at this very moment". Then some other part of my brain goes "Maybe I should get a second cohost plus subscription..."
