If I ever wanted to do a less-fun and less-funny screenshot-sharing project account a la @zippity I'd probably do it on the state of my Facebook feed. I barely have any friends that post on there any more so it only takes a couple of scrolls before my feed is 100% ads and "recommended for you" posts. The latter are largely based on nothing, since I haven't updated any of my interests or "Liked" a new page in years, meaning I tend to just be recommended a lot of generic nerd shit - heavily-artifacted tumblr screenshots, SEO-bait fandom pages, and of course, Harry Potter content.
The latter is always the most pathetic out of anything I come across. I don't even get any transphobic ra-ra-JKR stuff, just this mushbrained arrested-development slop where morons note that a film franchise featured many notable British actors who happened to have worked together in the past.
Not even the Marvel or Star Wars pages are this bad, man. I don't even know how you let your faculties atrophy this severely. I was in the prime demographic to become a hardcore Harry Potter adult - being a bookish bespectacled middleclass whiteboy who was the same age as Harry throughout the first seven books - but even if I had allowed myself to remain a fan of that benighted property I can't imagine being this fundamentally incurious about other media. Sad, sad shit.
