And nobody wants to talk about this.

My wife had a random virus infection in her teens, and something broke in her body, leaving her with chronic fatigue. She was unable to continue her education and was never able to work more than 20 hours part-time doing administrative work. Even now, some seventeen years later, she is still extremely tired after going out for a walk.

She has what is classified as a mild case of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ME/CFS. Why is it mild? Because she's still able to go outside and take care of herself. That's the fate we're condemning people to when we accept that some 15% of people coming down with COVID-19 will develop "mild" cases of Long Covid.

Especially with how many people will turn a blind eye in even talking about it, letalone the fact that with how bad the healthcare in america has gotten you can't do jack shit about it.

For the past few months I have been dealing with severe respiratory issues after getting sick. I was vaccinated but I still have no clue what I got sick with, how bad my situation is medically or even if this is something that needs to be looked at because I have less than 20 dollars in my bank and copay would literally financially bankrupt me.

it's a system where it's easier to shrug, focus on literally anything else and then just go outside without masks because they've been so politicized by assholes. I just want to have a full breath of air without fighting for it goddammit. We made a serious mistake when we considered the pandemic "over". This is going to have lasting consequences.

Oh no, she's pretty clear about that. On the bad days, when lying in bed gets her heart rate up to 90 BPM, when even thinking is too difficult, she expresses a clear desire about preferring to be unalive.
