I'm lucky enough that my MP (Don Davies) was one of 33 MPs to sign a letter to the PM urging him to demand a ceasefire in Gaza, in addition to boosting a bunch of similar stuff via his socials, so tonight I wrote him a short e-mail thanking him for being ahead of the curve on demonstrating, like, basic human decency. If you've got a representative who's similarly putting themselves out there, I encourage you to do the same - they're almost certainly going to absorb a certain amount of bad-faith flak, and a few appreciative words can go a long way towards helping someone stick to their principles. As for those of you who have reps who're still clinging to their blind support for genocide - feel free to send them stuff too! Y'know, letters, or, like, other things maybe. Whatever you feel is appropriate!

(Don Davies has also been leading the push to expand Canada's pharmacare and dental care programs. I legit like the guy and was pleasantly surprised to find that he didn't need any encouragement to be on the right side of history on this.)
