God it's so funny to think of the raw confidence it must have taken to translate THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER to games playable on the Nintendo Entertainment System and the Nintendo Game Boy. Like. What an insane proposition on its face. We've somehow never gotten a good video game based on Avatar: The Last Airbender but motherfuckers were out here adapting tense Cold War espionage thrillers for systems you could count each of the individual pixels on. I remember I used to actually OWN the Game Boy adaptation of Arnold Schwarzenegger's True Lies. It fucking sucked and I played the shit out of it. What a time
