Alright, so, it's your job to vote for me, because the other guy is worse: he would do all the bad things I'm doing, but more so. Now I could maybe stop doing bad things, I am aware of this in a distant, hypothetical thought-experiment sense, but anyone with an education understands that it would be electoral suicide because I need to appeal to the people who want the bad things. Your vote is basically irrelevant to me because despite your delusions of significance you're a tiny minority that can't affect anything, but if I manage to fuck up and lose it's solely your fault and I'll moan about it for decades
