You've probably heard the very unsurprising news that the relationship between Apple and Twitter is souring under Elon's ownership, to the point where Elon has claimed Apple has threatened to remove Twitter's app from their storefront. While "trying to predict what will happen with Twitter" has become a fool's game at this point, anyone with a memory capable of reaching back 5 years will recall what happened when Apple started making similar threats to Tumblr. Obviously there are a ton of factors contributing to the deterioration of that relationship and again who fuckin knows what'll happen but it's looking like a very good idea for porn creators and sex workers to start prepping the life rafts. I'll try to bang out an actual little twitter thread about this later, but for now if the porn artists, writers, and performers who follow me don't mind being a little annoying over on Twitter, you might consider encouraging your porn/sexwork friends who're on there to reserve a Cohost profile, just in case (you should also feel free to talk up the other nice things about the website, if the spirit moves you)
