recommend me games from the ps1/64 era or earlier that are cool and aren't on any "best games on the [console]" lists. I'm playing Vagrant Story right now and its sooooo awesome

I actually asked my friends this exact question a while back, or specifically i phrased it as "what games from the 32 bit generation should I play that I haven't, with a focus on JRPGs" and here's what i got back, more or less:

- Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals (SNES, also on NDS)
- Live A Live (SNES, it was obscure at the time but then a Switch port came out)

- Grandia (PS1, rereleased on PS3, Switch)
- Threads of Fate (PS1, also on Vita)
- Valkyrie Profile (PS1, also on PSP)
- Breath of Fire IV (PS1, rereleased on Vita and PS3)
- SaGa Frontier 2 (PS1)
- Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber (N64)
- Dark Cloud (PS1, rereleased on PS2 and PS4)
- Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter (PS2)
- Dark Cloud 2 (PS2, rereleased on PS4)
- Shadow Hearts: Covenant (PS2)
of these I've only played moon and a tiny bit of logic bomb and ogre battle. nice. also if you havent played MOON its sooooo good
Play Jumping Flash! 2 if you haven't. An audio-visual delight, and a little vacation to Hawaii.
