I am living for the moments that kind of "cross-pollinate" the timelines of the hermit's different videos/streams. Most recently having watched Gem's latest episode yesterday and then Pearl's this morning and then being able to see the moment Grian must have sent Gem the initial message to ask about end busting through Pearl's POV while she's in the mail system. Like idk what it is about those moments but there have been so much more of them and it makes me giddy every time I notice it, like some detective piecing together the timeline. I think it just gives you a good idea of the server being alive all over the place

Yeah, this is also something I like about the Life series β€” seeing the same events from different perspectives and either anticipating something happening or having a moment of realization, "Oh that's what was going on!"

yeah! everything being more visibly concurrent makes it less like "twenty seven loosely intersecting mostly-on-their-lonesome LPs that happen to be on a server," combined with the smaller radius most everyone's built themselves into

I think it's also made hopping between the hermits' pov's a lot easier since you can get a good sense of when and especially where things are happening. Because yeah previous seasons honestly made it hard to remember there's actually that many players on the server since they were so spread out

it seems like it's my favorite things from seasons like 4 and 6 brought back proper, maybe earlier seasons but i only started watching in 3 and i wasn't watching many people then either.

it's sorta interesting to see... i dunno if i'd call it a metronome effect, but how the lessons learned from each season sorta push the dial one way or another. Season 5 had the same "everyone was so isolated" problem, scar was out on his own building a large hole, i think that was a shop-free season, and all the bases were miles apart with collabs sparse. Then season 6 they decide to be all on one tiny island together, season 7 was "there's a small occean with a mushroom island in the middle and we're all gonna live on the shore of the surrounding ocean", 8 was another continent (and given they apparently always intended a short season beccause mojang update fuckery, they all co-based on purpose because man hands made light work)

9 sorta played it looser with the constraints after everyone lefft the spawn village and though it wasn't as sparse as 5, everyone DID still spread out a fair amount, and 10's sorta nudged things back again

yeah that seems true but even in seasons like 8 I don't remember there being this much level of interaction between hermits, like there's always been the sort of groups that spawn towards the beginning of each season but then it still seems pretty rare for regular interactions outside of said group. Like for example I think season 10 miiiight have the first ever on-screen Wels and Grian interaction where they weren't both part of a bigger group (like season intros/events, and tbf I only started watching Wels this season)? I started watching back in 6 and have kind of dipped in and out between seasons (though I did go back and watch all of Doc's S8 near the end of S9) but that kind of spontaneous interaction I don't think even happened nearly as much in Season 8 when proximity chat was introduced and they were closer together

I think it could be a vibes thing since a lot of them are taking it slower this time and the prioritization on just having a good time over the "content"-ness of it all has made it feel remarkably refreshing and sort of makes it hard for me to go back to even other seasons I have watched because the vibes are just so different compared to say, watching a clip from Season 7 or something
