Wall Drug is an amazingly weird stop on my move to Canada three years ago. It started as just your average drug store and slowly got more property on ether side expanding the storefront and adding smaller shops inside. Eventually Wall Drug took up nearly the entire block of this small town! With probably over 100 little shops, a restaurant, and tons of history, the only thing more impressive was the over 300 billboards we saw on our way there. Starting multiple states away, all hinting at this magical place.

We went from: "Huh, I guess there is a place to stop."
To: "Wow there are a lot of signs for this place and it's still 150 miles away."
And eventually: "Okay, there is no way we can miss out on something like the!"

And what fun it was. There was everything those billboards had promised and more. Unfortunately we couldn't check out the entire place because we had to keep moving on the road, but what we did get to see was plenty! Lots of hallways lined floor to ceiling of art, license plates, and all sorts of random stuff that you would find in a barn. Each Hallway leads to little store fronts where you could find local goods, art, snacks, and the occasional angry puppet in a fake prison. There was also an outdoor area but it seemed like that was mostly for smaller children and wasn't very active when we were there.

It just so happened to be about lunch time so we had to eat at the restaurant and get that fine five cent coffee. The coffee was mediocre, but for a nickel and a fascinating story, it was well worth the stop. A perfect stop for a cross country trip where you can stretch your legs and see something that is one of a kind.

If you're in the area I highly recommend a visit to Wall Drug!

Thank you for everyone who joined my stream. During the BRB I was looking at the manual for the game I was playing, SSX 3. In the back of the booklet there were two things that made me laugh.

One the left side is an advertisement to join the EA team... I wonder if it is still considered the #1 Interactive Entertainment Company like they claim back in 2003. But what's that? You're not old enough to work for them? No problem, They will happily take your money so you can join the "EA Academy." Oh boy doesn't that sound promising.

On the other side is an ad for getting cheat codes and hints for EA games if you register your game. I know a lot of games wanted you to register them when you first got it, but I never really understand why. I imagine its so they can send you more offers, so you can buy more of there products. But the part of this that made me laugh is that I remember getting cheats for a number of my PS2 games, but definitely not because I "Registered" them. I got cheats from Cheat Code Central.

I am glad I was able to share this with y'all and I'm wondering if anyone else has similar memories or experiences. Let me know.

Let's talk about it.

So after moving to western Canada I visited the local museum. Not once but twice I found National Cash Registers. National was a company that practically invented these cash register and were the only ones making them. This is significant to me because they were made in Dayton Ohio, which is close to where I grew up.

I put info on the two that I found in the image descriptions if you want to know more about the models. Also, I found out while researching these that the wooden ones are called "Woodies" and that made me laugh.
