FLÄSHYN!
Well this was a long project! I started this way back on September 20th, but it chilled in WIP limbo for a long time. It was worth it though.
I can’t believe how well this turned out considering how many things I didn’t know how to do going into this.
Things I had no idea how to do before starting this project- including, but not limited to: Full body modeling, joint topology, hard surface modeling (the revolver), sculpting in Blender, rigging, weight painting, and posing.
Despite being unable to plan ahead for all that stuff, the only really noticeable problem is the nasty texture stretching on the back of her shoulders when her arms go forward.
Current day Blue speaking! Her entire rig is a problem! Not noticeable, perhaps, but oh boy I didn't even know how to rig arms with inverse kinematics back then. Everything but the legs were posed with forward kinematics. I remember suffering immensely getting her to hold the revolver. With hindsight, it's extra impressive how well this turned out.
Speaking of rigging, you can see some bonus rigging shenanigans here
