I used to do that pre-pandemic and it was really hard, but I'm now realizing how much I hate my job and how much better I liked playing music 6-8 hours a day (including solo practice and rehearsals) and teaching phys/astro only 6-9 hours a week + grading (as opposed to now: playing maybe 2-4 hours a week on a good week [including solo practice and rehearsal] and teaching 18 hours + committees, department responsibilities, grading, etc). That life was *rough* and I was living with my parents to make it work, but I found the work to be a lot more rewarding.
I feel like teaching is the wrong line of work for me. Honestly, I would love to take proper pedal harp lessons with an eye toward getting a ba or mfa in harp performance, but realistically I would need to do "new game plus" to do that. Ain't no way I could afford to do that at my age and income level
