*June is a half elf/half something : It's been confirmed that June's father was an elf due adoption papers confirming at least that part but with no name to go off of, he ended up getting a DNA test done to try and figure it out. When it came back with "Inconclusive", he decided to give up trying to figure it out. Elves are known to have "Natural charm" and can practice book/rune magic very easily. Most of their magic flows from within and around them and they can use their body and minds easily as a conduit, while there are some limitations on types they can use, they are considered to be top tier magic users. Too bad June for some reason has no magical talent at all. He thinks maybe he is part fox-folk or cat-folk because why do his eyes shine and reflect light so intensely? And whats up with the lil fangs?
*Kajo is a demon-type : For his anger/rage mode, Kajo is a rare exception for demons as he can full body transform into the "souped up mode". His family is a blessed/cursed blood line where they can transform into full blown demon-mode and it most be trained to stop it from happening on accident. His mother taught him how she controlled her curse which is by working out everyday. He followed in her footsteps and he has not had a full on transformation in a long while. This magic is considered "Blood line magic" meaning it runs in the family and is unique special magic. It does require work and training to refine and control however. It cannot be trained or given to others outside of offspring (meaning someone can't just drink his blood or something and gain powers, they will most likely vomit, as demon blood is known to be toxic). Besides the rare bloodline magic, all other demon-types fall more in line with "Physical Magic", typically are stronger, have extreme endurance, super durable, move faster, and often have to trim their nails down more unless claws are what they would like! Demons will sometimes have horns, red iris's or glowing pupils, and/or longer tongues but overall, mostly look like elves.
*Selina is a merfolk : For her anger/rage face, I really wanted to showcase the black dilated eyes that sharks get, as well as do those lil pins/quills that puffer fish have and also make it like the skin starts to harden with scales! This is considered "Physical Magic" or "Natural type magic", meaning that body just does this naturally and sometimes, if not all the time, unconsciously. It does not require any training, focus, or magical items for it to happen. She can actually breathe underwater but she can't stay under water forever. She does need to come up and get air after about 5 or 6 hours.
*Theodore is a angel-type : For his anger/rage face, he has a halo and his eyes glow an intense color. In this world, they aren't really "biblical", in fact they are more closely related to Fae. They age slowly and can die or be killed. Their magic type is considered "Angelic Fae magic" or "User type magic", meaning they have latent magical talent that they can learn to use. Only angel-types can use this kind of magic and it cannot be taught to other species as it can be tough if not dangerous on the system. Angelic Fae Magic can be quite dangerous to use against polar opposites, like demon-types. A great example of this is Kajo's face; when he was a kid, a angel-type kid tried to heal a scratch on his cheek and instead permanently scarred Kajo's face up! For the most part though, Angels stick to useful everyday magic like mending clothes, healing minor cuts and burns, or giving a plant a lil boost. Angel-types tend to have a deeper understanding and talent for magic than elves do but end up refraining from abusing it as they do not channel magic around them but from their own "soul well". Without proper training (expensive), its hard to gauge how full your own "soul well" is so it can be dangerous if you go to low or use it all up.
