Current mood: hunting down all music that sounds a bit "clockwork"-y

Like, just.. constant percussion and/or melody that makes it sound like ticking.

Anyone got any examples of this? Just kinda wanting to find some but dunno much...

There's uhh, Divinity Original Sin - Flutter of a Butterfly?

as usual I feel like a lot of more on-point recs are stashed away somewhere in my head where I can't find them, but... maaaybe,

Objekt - "One Fell Swoop" and much of the rest of the album Flatland https://youtu.be/UbL3GKz_D1A

Stewart Copeland - (Skelos Badlands) from Spyro 2 https://youtu.be/0WoDQBruZWY
... (Desert Ruins) from Spyro 3 https://youtu.be/SfFF-bZjUUs

Fat Bard - "Clockwork Punchcard" from the Levelhead OST https://youtu.be/9SZTzjQVBdc

Rod Modell - "Qurra" https://youtu.be/dEuvUol1g8U

Eleven Tigers - "Stood Up" https://youtu.be/5cGuCM8mH0E

Dark Sky - "Rare Bloom" https://youtu.be/3DtDEtlGTpg

perhaps So?ing Machine [me] - "All that I know is all there could be" https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/996832

stretchy but Modeselektor - "Dancing Box" https://youtu.be/8VE33kS2bag

El Chombo - "Chacarron" https://youtu.be/MlW7T0SUH0E

The first song that came to mind that has a clock ticking throughout most of it that came to mind was The Legend of Dragoon – A Dragoon Killed in Battle, but idk if it sounds very ”clockwork“‑y.

The second song that came to mind was more ”clockwork“‑y–adjacent, since there are no ticking nor cog sounds... but it makes heavy use of creepy whimsical mechanical noises: Makkon – The Little Toy Shop

The only time‑oriented game that's immediately coming to mind is Blinx the Timesweeper.
Unsurprisingly, some of the OST has ticking noises, but whether it's ”clockwork“‑y enough for your satisfaction is up to you:
Time Square
Prize 11 ← idk if there are ticking sounds but omg wth is this  i love it
Options/Stage Select ← more mechanical
Mine of Precious Moments
Final Boss (Momentopolis)is that a flippin' Shepard Tone i hear??!
Forge of Hours ← more mechanical
Deja Vu Canals ← sometimes ticking
Boss Defeated
Intro Music ← ticking but silly. 😌✨
Credit Music ← also ticking but silly. 😌✨✨

While working out ↑↑↑↑↑, I also remembered Chrono Trigger as another time‑oriented game.
Idk if there are any ticking/”clockwork“‑y songs in it, but it may be worth checking out??

Back To The Lab, from the Bonelab soundtrack keeps a nice sense of clock-like momentum.

Harsh Industrial Train Crash, from the Half-Life: Alyx soundtrack was specifically created to create a ticking clock feeling, to add tension.

Michael Sembello - Maniac has a strong kick that feels a little bit like a clock. Carpenter Brut's cover might have a stronger effect, especially if you imagine that they're singing about a person whose heart was replaced with a bunch of clockwork-style gears
