if you've played deltarune and watched the amazing digital circus, listen to this:

I don't want to sleep quite yet because I've had this specific part looping in my head over and over  over the past while. But I don't mind, because it's one of those rare times when the earworm's tune playing in my mind's ear is also felt in my gut......

I'm not sure what this feeling is, but it's kind of like nostalgia, and I like it?? It could be at least related to nostalgia, since THE WORLD REVOLVING is definitely now old enough to tug at some amount of nostalgia ⁠strings. And, to me, this looping part of the remixed song was the most sentimental-feeling part of the original song... So perhaps the interaction of something familiar and sentimental with something new and anticipated created just the right concoction for this cool gut feeling???

And while I think that anticipation/excitement is playing a role in this specific case, I also remember this feeling with certain songs that are new to me, but became familiar because I've listened to it enough times for it to become familiar. Like, if I fight a boss over and over again, and I really like the music and it makes me feel the right kind of sentiment ^{..like sans + megalovania}, then for the next day or two or sometimes up to a week... when the song loops in my head, I'd get that cool gut feeling..... before that song never gives me that feeling again, even if it continues looping in my head for weeks or months after.

idk. Whatever it is, I like it.

...that said, since i decided to stay up even later to write this cobug, actually hearing it with my physical ears instead of with my earworm(s) repeatedly kind of ruined that feeling + earworm. i guess that it's only something i can feel while a tune is playing strictly internally instead of externally???? i've never seen anyone talk about earworm feelings like this before, so i wanted to put this out there in case others know what i'm talking about.
