I know it's unrealistic but i've been hoping they go even further and eventually just let you play as Pokémon by default. Cut out the middlehuman and all

there's a new feature added in the latest pokemon dlc that lets you play as your own pokemon! in the image here, joe is playing as his own shiny delibird, to trick his wife into thinking she found a shiny in the wild! :3
i'm not really sure what Joe is doing to warrant getting a divorce?
best guess is that's Joe's shiny and he was fuckin with her at length pretending to be a catchable wild shiny pokémon
I can see why everybody's excited both from the gameplay standpoint and it exists in settings so canonical embodying Pokemon mode is possible
