The Warhammer 40K DLC for PowerWash Simulator is easily the worst of the paid DLC so far. I can't really recommend it. It's probably neat if you're into Warhammer, but I am not.

I mostly found it tedious. Everything you clean has a ton of intricate little parts and it just gets tiresome. The final object to clean is huge. It was clearly designed with co-op play in mind. Probably a blast with friends. Solo, it just got tiring by the end.

My other complaint is that all your cleaning takes place in a big warehouse. There are lit candles everywhere. Does spraying the candles with water do anything, like turn off the flame? No. The water doesn't interact with the candles at all. It's such a weird choice to have candles in a game about spraying stuff with water, just to have them be static objects you can't really interact with.

Destructoid has meant more to me than I can possibly say. It was heartbreaking to let it go months ago, dramatic as that sounds.

It was a real pleasure to be part of the community. The best result was that my online TTRPG group came together through it. We still play regularly and we're all friends. It's been wonderful.

RIP in Peace destructoid.

PS - Shout out to the gal who made that gif. I think she used to go by Angie on the site? IDK. She's a real one though.

Been a minute since I've done one of these, but here we go:

You do not need to hear from every person with any level of celebrity on every issue (even if that celebrity is just a few thousand followers on a social media platform). Nor should you want to.

You don't need to hear a BBQ guy talking about Gaza. You don't need to hear a video game gal talking about Taiwan. You don't need to hear a musician talking about For-Profit Prisons. You don't need to hear a dietician discuss Ukraine.

More importantly, you shouldn't want to. You cannot expect random people on the internet to provide nuanced, well informed discussion on every issue. You are so much better off seeking the voices of people who actually know what the hell they're talking about.

Is there a place for famous people amplifying the voices of experts on issues? Sure. But you don't get to demand that of anyone either.

Parasocial relationships have gotten so out of hand.
