Only the car shed was open, so we only got to see a few of the trolleys, but the selection on display was fantastic, starting with Muni no. 178, an IRON MONSTER in the excellent 1956 green and white paint scheme. 178 was showing off its beastly size, towering over all of its neighbors with the exception of everyone’s favorite himbo, Key System 182
WRM graciously allowed guests to climb into some of its cars, and 178 was one of them. More lovely hand painted lettering on the inside, as well as a fascinating look at the interior equipment. The highlight of said equipment was a meter that measured the car’s total kilowatt-hour usage.
As you can tell, I’m partial to this car 😂
