Still vacationing in Canada! Right now Sadie and I are staying in Toronto, so we went around the city today, mainly looking for comic shops. The one I was looking forward to the most was The Beguiling! I had heard that this place had a lot of back issues of older comics, and also a lot indie stuff, so I was really excited to check it out! It really lived up to what I was hoping it would be. It's almost overwhelming how much stuff is in there. They had a whole section just dedicated to Jack Kirby! And the entire basement is old back issues. I hadn't seen that many old comic books in one place before... Sadie spent a long time going through those! Mostly through the old Transformers comics...
My favorite spot was actually right neat the entrance, which was a little dedicated space for some indie comics and zines. I was surprised to see something I recognized there; @zandravandra 's light novels! At least a few of them. I had to pick some up, I'd been meaning to read them for a while! ^^ I also picked up a comic called Witch Hazel that looks really cute. Can't wait to give these all a read! Sadie ended up getting this collection of old newspaper comics from 1939. It
I'll make sure to post some more stuff from our trip later! Plenty of fun stuff left to do before we fly back to Tokyo ^^
