So after three videos they wont let me see any more, eh?
They could at least place ads in less awkward spots in the videos... More NHK for me now then. Will be good for the upcoming exam anyway =)

I feel bad for people who don't want to pay up and I'm not going to argue against not paying on principle, but... god if you do just pay it's so much better lol. I use that site so damn much it's worth it.
The thing is I have the money and I do use YT a good deal, even for studies. It's like 119 NOK a month and I earn more an hour, but somehow, somewhere I decided that I just wont. Let's see if I break or not ;)
BUT! This makes me somewhat of a hypocrite. I always bitch about others who have the money but still pirate games (or movies, music etc) but here I am refusing to subscribe to a service, even when I can easily afford it. And even use it a lot. Even for Japanese channels that help a lot.
As if I have some vendetta towards google xD (I don't, by the way).
Silly!
Can't confirm it myself because I pay, but I saw several people online claiming that it is an empty threat and after the 3 videos it just goes back to business at usual.
Install uBlock Origin
Paste the following lines in "my filters" in the settings dashboard:
youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.openPopupConfig.supportedPopups.adBlockMessageViewModel, false)
youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.adBlocksFound, 0)
youtube.com##+js(set, ytplayer.config.args.raw_player_response.adPlacements, [])
youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.hasAllowedInstreamAd, true)
I've heard people say this doesn't work for them, and seen alternative code posted that I can't seem to find now. I put that in as a precautionary measure back when it was only showing up for a few random people, and I've never seen it. Could be it works for me, or I could be lucky. I do have alternative options for you, though!
One is by installing a script through another extension called Tampermonkey: https://github.com/TheRealJoelmatic/RemoveAdblockThing
The other is to use an alternative version of YouTube called FreeTube: https://freetubeapp.io/
Haven't tried either of those so I can't comment on how they work but you might as well give them a shot.
But also, just so you know, it looks like Cohost fucked up the formatting completely on what I pasted in before by adding random line breaks. Should be 4 lines. Just in case that was the issue.
