Finally gonna play Resident Evil 4 Remake

VR version is coming next week already.
But gotta admit I'm a bit torn on this one after after Village, which has become a huge fav. I think 4 will be a letdown in many ways.
Not that 4 is bad from what I remember (played the Wii version when it came). It was actually pretty cool for it's time. It's just that Village is more my thang!
BUT!! From the looks of it, and from playing Village, the VR experience is going to be pretty darn good =) Capcom sure have learned that!

You guys liked 4 or Village the most?

I think you will enjoy 4 Remake. It's loads better than Village in my opinion, which itself was cribbing from re4.

Separate Ways DLC is solid as well. I still need to get around to Shadow of Rose + a Steam Deck-replay of Village in third person mode.

Yeah I see why some say Resi7 was a spiritual successor to RE as Village is to 4. And I truly did like my time in 4 on Wii back in 07, but Village is just more my pint of beer (so far). Setting and atmosphere and all.
I'll have to wait and see. Damn busy next week has to wait a bit. Take that, busy week!

I'm so excited for that vr mode. Hopefully it's a little more simpler than re8. That was abit too technical for me. I need it to be a bit more arcade, like quick reloads, inventory, etc.

HELL NO!!! Or at least keep it optional. One of the best parts of Village VR is how the boys and girls at Capcom gave it such immersion.
Just loved how I could take out the shotgun from my back, load, shoot, refill and go on. Even in the middle of an intense battle. That's what VR is about: Immersion
If I need some horror arcade game I have Switchback!
But, again, have several control options and I'm good.

RE8 has a strong emotional core, but REmake 4 is RE4 with a parry button. There's just no competition.

I like them both. I feel like they are similar in the beginning section, but turn into there own thing as it progresses. I think I’m leaning on Village a little more only because as soon as I finished I started doing another run, which is something I rarely do nowadays.

I now I'm going to get some hardcore gaming blues after I finish Village, which is soon. I can already feel it.
