2024 seems to be backlog year

And my backlog is going CRAZY for this news.

Sony has a huge draught coming they have admitted. Xbox doesn't seem to have anything of interest at all(all the new stuff will take time to develop). And form the rumours, the Switch 2 will release in Q1 25.

Well I get Stellar Blade (can't wait) and still some nice PSVR 2 games (apart from Sony themselves from the looks of things). Fuck! I might really get FF7R2 too. But rest seems to be backlog year. YAY!

I understand why Ryan left now. He had to run away from his mistakes xD

I'm hoping we'll get some new IPs from Sony since we won't be seeing the Big Ones until later. There's that mythical new IP Cory Barlog has supposedly been developing, maybe something new from Sucker Punch since they've been silent for a while now...

They could have left their own, little Japanese studios to make those smaller, low-budget, yet damn cool games, but ryan.
Look! I get it! There wasn't a huge profit, if any, with several of those games. But keep the studios and let them make smaller games with them low budgets. They could shine now!
Would give the PS library way more spice.

Think I'm in a similar boat but for different reasons. I'm not buying any new games on Xbox, at least until enough time has passed and I have some confidence that they're actually committed to the console business moving forward (and all my friends are addicted to Palworld so I'm not doing much MP these days either lol)

Silver lining: backlog time! Trying to finally finish Ghost of Tsushima which I'm 60 hours into. Feel like I pick it up every several months and sink a chunk of time into it. Gonna try to finally beat it and the director's cut DLC this time.

Having ALL of the yakuza games on game pass means I really shouldn’t buy anything new for maybe ever? I’m sure that’s what’ll happen

Technically Judgement isn't a backlog game for me since I have just tested it out a bit, but damn did I feel like playing it when I tested it out on the new TV. Mix that in with my pretty fresh memories from Japan it's hard not to start playing it =D

I still have retro games like BATMAN on NES (or is that vintage by now? hehe) I have to beat(I never beat The Joker, dammit!). Eternal Darkness and Viewtiful Joe on GC await me. I recently activated the WiiU and got XBCX ready and still have to beat XBC. At the moment I am getting very into Cyberpunk... Just to mention a couple. so yeah, good news in bad news for me.
