Is a good thing. Hope we see smaller, AA or AAa games. Brand new and creative ones rather than the usual names. Let the underdogs get some spotlight.

Perhaps we can even finally see what Platinum are up to and give us hope back after total radio silence and Kamiya leaving.

Do I believe that any of this will happen? Hell no. Think this will be a rather boring Non-E3 E3 just as the last State of PLay was, but I did get a pleasant surprise. I can live with one more =)
I mean, come one now, there has to be at least ONE ok surprise!

I find it hard to care about anything entertainment-wise these days, so I'll be surprised if anything at all catches my attention. Still probably going to watch it, anyway. Why not waste some precious time? x)

I don't mind Keighley that much, I think it's everything he has around him - everything else you mentioned, basically - that makes him boring. If he focused only on games, he'd be a nice host, I think.

That's part of the problem, I guess, I don't "have" Ashrah. I was hoping against hope that they'd finally give her a proper story after so many years, but that shitbag they call a writer did exactly the opposite. She's bland, boring, generic; literally a parody of what she was supposed to be. And she's my favourite character ever - not this shitshow he "wrote", but the real her, which to be fair, doesn't truly exist in any canon or fan story outside my own. So yeah... it was a hard blow.

The idea of folks collectively lowering their expectations and getting to focus on some AA an indie projects is great.

That said, absolutely hilarious that Geoff is advertising his show by saying "don't get too excited for it" lmao. All the people paying him money for show time must be pissed.

Imagine having to say that after ... is it 4 years already ??? ... of Summer Game Fests with little to get excited about, imagine the man feeling the need to lower expectations even further. 😆

Sony already said there wont be many 1st party 3xA games this fiscal year and I doubt Xbox has anything huge. CoD on gamepass is not a huge thing.
Nintendo wont release the Switch 2 before next year, so this was pretty much given, really.

I wasn't too excited to begin with, so I became more excited now in the hopes of some originality.

It doesn't look like this year will have that many more huge AAA games anyway, at least not those with the big, know names. And taht's fine. I didn't bother with FFr7R2 even.

The only announced AAA game I care about is Death Stranding 2 and that's next year away.

Never played them. They seemed somewhat fun at first but unsure I'll ever get to them now with my backlog.

Too much shit with Platinum lately. I have one neutron of hope left for them, but from the looks of it one of my all time fav devs is dying. But they are very much allowed to surprise me.
