i had no idea animenext was straight up cancelled this year wtf and looking into it more they might be in a lot of debt from using the atlantic city convention center and there's rumors they might not operate anymore (according to people this would mean new jersey and louisiana would be the only 2 states without a major anime con LOL) damn though, hope they stick it out
My goodness those organizers are messy as hell, aside from the horrible bus situation that happened they had the website go down the first day. Learning that they stiffed the previous venue due to not wanting a Covid policy was kinda icing on the cake. Also they got totally roasted in their own Discord when the con was going on and for days after. Me not being a bitch mentioned to one of the staff when they were done frantically calling IT that they needed to hire furries for that job.
