The answer is no I have actually not been able to pet or hang out with either. One day I'll get out to somewhere like the skunk festival and meet a bunch of friendly floofs and be incredibly happy the entire time. This is actually a fairly easy thing to do if you have the right locale and good timing, of which I have neither right now.
Now, onto seals. Much like skunks I will absolutely not approach them in the wild. We get stressed out incredibly easily and it's extremely very bad to bother seals in the wild. That said, given the opportunity to interact with say... an ambassador animal in a healthy, controlled environment such as at a marine life center I would evacuate my entire life savings and/or credit limit to buy out an entire meet & greet just to hang out with a pinniped friend and their handler for a couple hours.
Bonus answer, I have handled live penguins and flamingos before and they're very interesting. Penguins are the most incredibly soft wonderful fluffy things you will ever touch but for the love of getting the stains out of your clothes never hang out behind or under one. Flamingos are.. kind of waxy and coarse, also temperamental and they will honk at you. Delightful none the less, do recommend to try in a healthy, humane environment.
