season six, episode 23 if you want to watch along at home
- this whole episode is about women wearing pants
- god forbid women have jobs
- for an episode that's trying to be feminist, it's weird for a plot point to be "women be fainting"
- THEY FORCEFEMMED QUARK
- being told "you have to do something about the voice" hit me harder than i thought
- seeing yourself in the mirror in a dress and getting that gut punch feeling and going "take it away" is a mood
- god forbid women lumber
- this episode is making me self-conscious about my walk
- grand nagus has chaser vibes
- honestly a lot of the ferengi dudes do
- except Rom. he's just got some gender to him
- slug-o-cola looks pretty good. i'd drink it
- this episode has TWO chasers in it
- and the moral of the story is "chasers can be feminist, too. trans rights"
- there's a whole thing where the Bad Nagus keeps pointing at the trans woman like "That is a man!" and the other guy is like "Seems like a woman enough to me" and, honestly, it gets a little real
- love wins
- "You make a lousy son, but a wonderful daughter" Oh, mood?
It's such a weird episode and people are very right to call it transphobic but i can't help but kinda love it anyways? "Quark gets GRS for feminism reasons" is just so compelling to me
