Being a therian and plural means we feel this just about 9 times over
But ironically it led to a clever way for us to figure out who's fronting if we're unsure. If we close our eyes and look at our hands, what we see instead of human hands tells us which of us has the helm.
Yote beans? Andréa, definitely.
Raccoon hands? Well, it must be Jane
Big ol' lynx paws? It's Mia!
Dragon claws, or the feeling of two more hands that aren't there irl? Karinne is in command
Etc., etc.
We have something similar to that, but it's a little more subtle. Human bodies are oriented so the shoulder blades are flat along the back and palms are parallel to the body, pointing inwards. But for a quadrupedal form, the shoulder blades are along the ribs and the palms are oriented down, perpendicular to the body.
So if the orientation of our arms feels just not correct, we can rotate things until we get the sense something is "correct." The number of people who are ONLY human is a very small one, so it's a very helpful Guess Who-esque way to whittle it down.
