RIGHT I NEVER POSTED MINE

technically this is the most canonically correct Andréa, as it's one of the few bits of art of me where I'm a coyote, instead of a mexican grey wolf. It's also a case of "trusona" because the picture was based on this real-life photo of me!

It's the only art I have of me with an instrument, and if I had more money I'd fix that, but still.

The photo's from a year and a half ago, about, and it's one of the few photos of myself that I actually like, and that @roxannarachnid captured it so well just speaks to her skill as an artist

I really need to do a new guitar pic at some point, tbh. Ideally with my new guitar. But on the other hand, I did get this commission from BudgieBin way more recently at least.

Yeah, it's wired more like a tele

As is the gaff tape all over the pickguard, lmao

The neck pickup is wired only to a volume knob and it's a very hot and unique single coil that I got on a high school exchange trip to Russia back in the 2000s.

The bridge one is wired to a volume knob as well as a tone knob and is a special kind of pickup called a zexcoil. Basically it functions as a humbucker, but what makes it unique it the flat slanted slug for each pole, and each pole is wound individually. the wiring of the pickup is staggered, so that the top three strings and the bottom three strings can be wired into the guitar in opposing series like a humbucker, or in parallel so it functions more like a single coil. The tone knob is a push-pull to switch between those.

The problem is, the person who wired the push-pull switch and the zexcoil in for me reversed polarities in the bridge volume pot or something, so when both pickups are active they are out of phase and it doesn't sound good, not even in a "oh that sounds like absolute garbage I fucking love it" way.

At some point the zexcoil is getting replaced, because my friend and bandmate rachel made me a custom humbucker that is hotter than a solar flare and it's going in the bridge position since there's room in the body routing, but I think even then I'm going to leave the middle pickup out. I just don't use it enough to justify putting it back in.
