Mech Pilot who really thinks we should figure out a team attack. Everyone else has one!
"But we do attack as a team, Captain?" Alpha, was the teams strategist and advisor. Currently she is very confused about whether the conversation she is having is really as "Mission Critical!!!!" as Captain had informed her.
"No not—it's not attacking as a team it's a Team Attack!" Captain said, pressing her fingers against her temples in frustration.
"I am failing to see the difference, we maneuver as a group and coordinate in order to achieve our goals during battle, thus surviving and felling our foes. Is this insufficient?"
"I was thinking about something a little more... exciting."
"I do not understand, how will a flashy Team Attack
improve our combat effectiveness."
"It... Well not everything has to be about..." Captain thought for a while, harder than she had ever thought before (this was not a high bar) and in a moment of potential genius she said at almost a yell, "It will improve morale in the–"
"Morale is already quite high, Captain. There is no need for anything extra."
"I see." Maybe it wasn't a moment of genius after all. She would have to try another strategy. It'd be risky, but it could be effective. She'd have to leverage everything she had worked so hard to build. "There is possibly one other reason, Alpha."
Alpha was silent for a while. She couldn't think of any other reason. Though maybe there could be a chance that Captain had an good strategic idea for once and she was just incapable of explaining. She had never been one to needlessly shoot down others input, why should she start now. "If you must. Explain."
Captain's face scrunched up and she broke eye contact with Alpha entirely. "I think it would look cool..."
"That is not—"
"P-please..." Captain blushed.
They both stood their motionless except for Captain's hair blowing gently in the breeze as her face turned more red with each passing second, realizing what she had said.
Alpha sighed, breaking the silence, "I will call the team to practice. If it adds unnecessary risk to I will put a stop—"
Captain's lips briefly pressed against Alpha's cheek. "Thanks Alpha." She said with a smile before walking confidently away.
"What a dangerous woman." Alpha sighed.
