Words are my favorite stim toy

Me, two days ago: haha what if I took a mech prompt and made a short little vore story out of it for vore day, as a bit, hahaha that'd be fun, I can use an old idea so I don't have to think about it too much and I can keep it short hahahaha this'll be fun

Me, now: [feverish, dehydrated, looking nervously between outline notes and the length of the story so far, frantically googling "how many words does it take to count as a novella"]

There's "novella" but there's also "novelette" and what does it mean???? Who knows!

I just looked this up for my latest story, cause SOME places say that 7.5k is the novelette category. But, to me, a "novel" has chapters, not just scene breaks. You might call it something different (like parts or whatever) but if they function as chapters (like with new pages and everything) then that's probably some variation of "novel."

ignore the fact that the earliest novels did not have chapters at all and just scene breaks they fucking sucked we dont have to do that anymore
