yeah like it used to be a lot more of a problem to the extent you'd just see neo geo pockets and tamagotchis around, pac men jr, mappy kids, but for the past 20 years standard practice is to have all videogames microchipped and spayed
This attitude might sound a bit cruel to folks who weren't around at the time. But video games aren't particularly discerning, and when two closely-related ones bred, you ended up with stuff like the Yak Bak. Some experts even blame the late-90s spread of the invasive Big Mouth Billy Bass on an escaped copy of Reel Fishing that bred with a Furby.
The problem isn't entirely eliminated, either, thanks in large part to certain inhumane video game studios who breed for market potential rather than the happiness and welfare of their titles. We need to stop promoting and purchasing so-called "rare breeds." The fact that you can still easily buy a Bop It! is shameful.
