This is a difficult one, because there's a million photos that popped in my head from different directions, some of which I can remember who they were by and what they are, but not the photo itself.
But I'm going to go with the one that popped my head almost immediately, even though I don't have it handy to share. There's a picture of my mother from the early 90s where she is a dead ringer for Lady Di, the smile and the haircut are there, and it is unquestionably the best photo of her that's ever been taken. My relationship with my mom has not always been great, even though I think right now it's the strongest it's ever been, but there's something about that photo which is just her at her best, at someone who cares about everyone in the world and puts so much love and work into making it better for others. It radiates through that old 5×7 glossy in a way that I can't put into words.
