Being raised by a canadian parent and a parent from NJ means that I spell it both gray and grey and change it based on whatever I feel like. Fight me
also using grey to denote that a specific bunch of identical dragons are canadian for secret plans but ssh keep that bit quiet.
I always use gray as the literal color and grey whenever it's a metaphor and i don't know why I do this but it feels right to me
I think that's both valid and way more consistent than me, so hell yeah
I'm Canadian but moved to the states before I became a teenager, so I'm switching back and forth between the two all the time also
I mean it's in part that and in part a nod to the character(s) of a friend who they are based off of
