in the interests of killing off my gear acquisition syndrome and deep, aching desire for long-as-fuck delays and wonky modulation, i snagged one of those famed zoom multistomps and it is: super cool!! its kinda fiddly to get build presets, you definitely have to read the manual and practice with it to build the workflow into your head, and there's no way you could fiddle with stuff if you were performing on stage. i am a lowly bedroom noodler though so i can live with it
and it sounds pretty good!! the drives and amp sims definitely are not great to my ears (its funny how simple distortion is mechanically but is so hard to emulate digitally) but stuff like chorus, delay, reverb etc is pretty great! theres some light digital-y-ness to some effects and the pitch ones like octavers are just... bad but for what i want from it im happy :3
