so i got the wikipedia donation message and decided to kick em a few bucks -- i like their product, i want them to have a little walkin' around money -- and afterwards they took me to a screen full of thanks, requests for more money, and
um

???
Lmao I remember writing a shit ton of "Charitable Bequest" appeals when I wrote for nonprofits.
It's a huge part of fundraising, but it's usually aimed at a specific audience. Namely, the audience that's already thinking about their will, that has money, and that is realizing they can't take it with them. They generally want to "leave a lasting legacy" and stuff.
Also turning the "leave us your money when you die" appeal into a plug for a different sponsor is...uh... bold.
