Thoughts on veganism

#2 From this list of questions:

I think you have to be careful for health reasons, and make sure however you go about it is getting you the things you need like iron, calcium, and protein. Other than that, I think it is excellent for both ethical and environmental reasons.

Given my...let's call it reputation, this may come as a surprise to a lot of people. It's true, I do eat a lot of meat myself.

But I had originally intended to be at the very least vegetarian by 35. My diet remains omnivorous out of a combination of habit, budget and convenience, and that goal of vegetarian is now around 40 if I can manage it.

In the end, it is a choice, but I wholeheartedly think a good one. Anybody who rags on vegans just sounds like an asshole. I think sometimes people can be overzealous about it, sure, but people also get really fucking weird and shitty about the fact I don't like peanut butter or college football, so if you drill down on it the problem there isn't veganism itself.
