I think it's been long enough now that I can admit I like how '...And Justice for All' actually sounds. Sure the bass is anemic as fuck, but there's a certain jagged edge to some of the picking that actually makes that work really well. Fuck Lars, but there's plenty of reasons for that by now.
"mack you talk a lot about metallica" yeah because my tastes are fuckn pedestrian <3 if you're easily pleased you're always rocking
don't you DARE pull yourself down like this. When they did their best work they were extremely esoteric; they built a massive following purely on word-of-mouth; they and their ilk were a jagged knife dismembering the pomposity of glam metal. If they subsequently became the mainstream darling Fat Elvis 'biggest metal band in the world' tragicomedy, that is the world's fault, not yours. Blame the world! I SURE FUCKIN DO
right now, captain, my disillusionment is running out. i'm going to be a huge fuckn dork for shit i like, so watch out.
impressive in the moment, and forty years later, but abjectly cringe every fucking second in between
like marilyn manson but less dumbheaded pseudointellectual word salad
(also i probably wouldn't lock my gfs in cages)
