Good write-up!

Mostly agree, I think. The purity of the original (with tangent levels for the constellations) is hard to beat. We Love Katamari still has some really goofy levels (the aforementioned race track level, the one where you gotta roll up food for the tiny sumo wrestler and roll up his rival before it ends), but structurally it does lack that sort of "a group of people sat down, rendered all these objects, and thought of the funniest ways imaginable to arrange them" vibe.

That said! Almost certainly the best sequel, at least? I didn't mess with Forever much, Beautiful felt kinda dire, and while I played a good amount of Touch My Katamari, I can't remember anything of it other than squashing and stretching it.
