I think I've finished this piece I started in this thread. Pretty good for a second attempt + minor photo editing.

this is too much fun. there are so many resources provided in bryce that it's easy to just throw stuff together. what i'm making is not artful yet, but the 15-year-old in me is just like, screaming with delight at being able to make this stuff that, to me, seemed totally impossible to do.

also it's hilarious how long this takes to render. bryce doesn't appear to use the GPU at all and can only use 1 core of the CPU. this took about 15 minutes to render. I bet it would have taken like, 3 hours back in the day though. still, if this used the gpu i bet it would render in about 1 second.

these are both 4K btw

if you like this check out my other bryce 3d wallpapers

in reply to @Cania's post:

if you wanna buy it you can do it here, it's like $22: https://www.daz3d.com/bryce-7-pro

and here's an unofficial guide for installing, since it is kinda weird: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bryce3D/comments/15q3xnq/bryce_7_pro_simple_complete_installation_guide/

i have no idea about pirating it but honestly i wouldn't be surprised if it was slightly easier lol

also recommend watching the first ten minutes of this tutorial if you wanna get the basics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8xDl5K8KMs&list=PL790l24c49DR81OY2tlP2Ou0gBRk61neJ

the interface is completely unlike any 3D editing program I've ever seen but it's also pretty intuitive once you can understand its language and get a few keyboard shortcuts under your belt.
