The coolest thing about the Red Room people, I think, is that they all do the backwards speech trick which is literally impossible to do IRL. Something about the artifice of that idea hits me in a particular part of my brain and I think about it a lot. Nobody can speak exactly like the Arm does because doing so requires being recorded! You can't do it unless you're in the TV! All of this also supposedly made it into the show at all because Michael J Anderson developed the backwards speech when he was a teen in order to send secret messages to his friends.
