Revolutionaries are always expected to have a perfect system worked out beforehand. Any possible imperfections are cause to reject and cling to the capitalism and imperialism that is killing us all. Conversely, any even theoretical positive elements are enough to justify the status quo. Police mass murder and white supremacy are justified if anyone has ever benefited or even thought they benefited from the pigs. Anyone who has possibly waited one second less in a hospital's waiting room compared to anyone in any socialized health care system is cause enough to keep killing people through medical neglect. Anyone who has ever gotten one dollar they weren't "entitled to" by the standards of rabid fascists justifies the violence of means-tested benefits or even abolishing benefits completely (which, incidentally, puts paid to the idea that it's simple inertia; things can change fast, instantly even, as long as it's to the detriment of the working class).
