oh I should note these images are from "The Old Castles Secret" in volume 6 of The Complete Carl Barks Library. I highly recommend this volume to anyone with an interest in 40s comics. Barks is one of the best and this volume highlights all the things that make him so
much appreciated! we grew up reading these comics (in the Gladstone reprints), we still have a soft spot for them.
