a knurled knob at her throat, with three positions.

at 0, she rests peacefully, listening to the sounds around her. getting to know the local audioscape. literally just vibing.

at 1, she will stand and sing a counter-sound for you. she knows all the sweet spots where echoes lurk. if you move, she will move with you, always in the right place to voice her aria of silence so that nothing hits your ears.

at 2, she will stop singing and busy herself. she knows the local audioscape. she knows where that whirring fan sound comes from. she knows the rumble of trucks as they pass below your window. she knows the chord that the wind plays on bridge cables in the next neighborhood over.

in order of estimated perceived intensity for you, she will silence them all.

she probably won't come for your heartbeat.

not unless it starts hammering loudly in your ears.

good thing that all this destruction doesn't excite you, right?
