You know, I was never old enough to have an RSS feed during their heyday, but this kind of patient, slow feed that Cohost has, where new stuff comes every few hours rather than every few minutes or seconds, is so much more bearable than Twitter's constant refreshes, and feels like what I imagine an RSS feed would be like.

That's kinda what Tumblr is like (or at least, the original intent of Tumblr) too. No algorithms constantly pushing new data. Just a slow feed of the people you're interested in, posting/reposting things that interest them. It's nice, relaxing. Why I tend to prefer them and avoid things like Twitter and TikTok.
