happy thursday! smaller patch notes this week since we’ve got a few major things in progress, one of which we think should be live next week! for now, here’s what’s new:
- the “Posted!” toast message now correctly indicates when you’re saving a draft
- sorry if the old behavior caused undue stress. jae was impacted by this a few times too.
- fixed a bug where logged-in users under 18 would see a fully empty post instead of the “this post contains 18+ content” message when 18+ posts appeared on their feed
- added support for MathML in posts
- this one’s for the real sickos out there
- since handwriting MathML kind of sucks, you might want to use a conversion tool like prechoster or temml.
- we might make further improvements here down the road and would appreciate any feedback y’all have!
- fixed a bug where trying to discard from the modal post editor would softlock the site
- internal changes for performance
- audited all our feature flags and removed ones that are no longer relevant
- fixed some internal moderation SQL queries that were slow enough to impact the entire website
- made it easier to moderate users before they’ve been activated
