RWBY's writers, directors, animators, VAs, and the rest of the crew: Ten years of loving, intricate development of Blake and Yang's relationship, culminating in a triumphant, heartfelt confession in one of the most beautifully animated scenes of the entire show.
Rooster Teeth: how can we use this to sell merch without having to otherwise acknowledge The Gays during pride month
Fuck Rooster Teeth.
I don't have any big insightful essays about this one, just.
The show is good, I'd have liked it even more if the people working on it didn't get treated like absolute garbage.
And now the Ice Queendom Twitter is trying to promote NFTs of the demo reels for the RWBY:IQ soundtrack.
I hate capitalism, and I hate that I can't in good conscience give money to the people who make my favourite show, because that money's gonna go to the abusive, racist, queerphobic assholes running Rooster Teeth, not the actual creatives who make the show so good.
What Kdin Jenzen went through is atrocious. Nobody should ever have to put up with stolen wages, constant homo- and transphobic abuse, and intense crunch during a pandemic, all while being trotted out as a token of a company's progressivism.
Now would be as good a time as any for Rooster Teeth employees to unionize, but whether they do or don't, we need to ensure they know that RWBY fans stand by the workers who created the show we love, and that they deserve better.
